You are about to install the most significant revision to Opcode's Vision software. Vision DSP has more new features than can be mentioned in this short read me. For this reason the demo version is not time limited but is save disabled and the recording & exporting of audio files are limited to 5 seconds. All the other features work as they do in the release version.
If you already have some VST compatible plug-ins installed, simply drag a copy of them into the VstPlugIns folder located in the Vision Demo application folder. All compatible plug-ins are accessible in the demo version as is the new EQ on the console strips. Just wait until you hear how it sounds.
The file that will be installed with the demo version of Vision DSP has only audio tracks in it so you won't need to worry about hooking up any MIDI gear. There are 8 tracks of audio and 1 plug-in, opECHO, is assigned in the mixing console. It has some EQ setting all ready to go so all you need to do is turn the EQ on. The demo file was written to take up as little room as possible on your drive, just 825K, and should run on slower Power Macs. You'll need to have 32 megs of RAM in your Power Mac in order to run Vision.
Speaking of MIDI gear, the demo installer contains the latest version of OMS, version 2.3.5. If you don't have OMS installed on your startup drive please choose the custom install option that includes it. A studio setup document will get installed so you don't need to worry about having to know how to set it up. If you already have OMS 2.3 or above installed please choose the appropriate install option. All that will be install is a new version of the OMS Time Manager. There is also an install option for users with OMS 2.2 and below. This will install a complete package of OMS 2.3.5.
Quicktime 2.5 or greater is required to run Vision DSP. If Quicktime is not already installed, you can install it by selecting the appropriate package.
FREE VST PLUG-IN.
Simply by installing the demo version of Vision DSP you'll be getting a free VST compatible plug-in. The plug-in is called opECHO and is a single tap delay effect with tempo and note locks. It also features a Filter on the delay feedback that has High or Low Frequency setting for the roll off. And all you've got to do is to install a demo, what a bargain.
Technical Support is not available for this demo version.
We'd like to take this opportunity to let you know that the Opcode offices have recently moved.
